God Pursues You
…there is a drawing of the Holy Spirit on every sinner – every sinner. The Spirit of God is present in this world, and there is a sense in which God is drawing every sinner to Himself – every time the cross is seen, every time the Gospel is proclaimed, every time a Christian shares their faith with someone else, the Spirit is on that.
Patrick Steele
O lord, you have examined my heart
and know everything about me.
You know when I sit down or stand up.
You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.
You see me when I travel
and when I rest at home.
You know everything I do.
You know what I am going to say
even before I say it, lord.
You go before me and follow me.
You place your hand of blessing on my head.
- God pursues you first
- God is pursuing you always
- God wants to be pursued by you
“To have found God and still pursue Him is the soul’s paradox of love, scorned indeed by the too-easily-satisfied religionist, but justified in happy experience by the children of the burning heart.” A.W. Tozer
