Straight out of Context – Part 3

I Can Do All Things

The context of this scripture [is] a context of basically provisional suffering, provisional struggling. Paul’s talking specifically about provision. He’s talking about his needs being met, and he says there were times in his life when he was in great want, and there’s times in his life when he was in great plenty, and the equalizer in that situation is the strength and the grace of the Lord.

Judge Not

The Bible is a historical document given to us by God to tell us who God is, how He interacts with human beings, and from Genesis to Revelation, God has given us His unadulterated message … so that we might know Him, and live for Him, and understand our purpose, our reason, our interaction with Him, who He is, who we are, our identity, when He’s coming back, and how we’re going to spend our eternity.
